Walter began with the IRS in the early 1980s after Golden Gate University and CPA credentials. He rose to senior auditor/officer before joining Richard O. Cross & Associates as a partner in 1988. When Dick retired in late 2008, Walter became sole owner — and has continued serving San Francisco clients ever since.

A San Francisco native who is well versed in business and individual tax work. Walter earned Masters degrees in Accounting and Taxation from Golden Gate University, became a CPA, and built deep experience preparing returns across entities, trusts, and personal filings.
After more than twenty years as a partner with Richard Cross, he took over as sole owner in late 2008. Today he leads a focused practice that pairs technical care with personal service — including fluent Cantonese for clients who prefer to talk tax in their first language.
